Can you use Go Daddy as a host for a forum website?

I am planning on starting a forum website. I need to find a host (paid or free) that involves e-mail, preferably domain included but not required and can handle a forum site with a larger amount of users (yes I am dreaming big). Also, understandably I am looking for the best deal too.

Serious answers only please. Thank you for your time.

If you want to run a site like that, you need to either A, host your own server, or B, find a webhost that supports that type of application (i’ve heard that some good server hosts actually give you a virtual machine, with root access to your own server and everything, but i’m not sure)

GoDaddy would be fine for this purpose. You might also consider HostGator too.

If you’re going to create a forum site at your own domain without any forced ads, you need a web host providing forum tools (phpbb or vbulletin).

    Take a look at: http://www.threehosts.com/forum

There you can reach the three reputable companies that are leaders in the forum web hosting industry.

    Hope this helps.

I recommend one of these: http://www.hosttell.com/

Powweb has the best offer right now. It’s on a 50% sale – $3.88/month ($46.56/year), and you get a free domain from them.

They include easy, one click install of phpBB forums from their control panel (InstallCentral).
